TYLER, Texas — The Smith County Tax Office in Tyler is closed due to a water leak early Tuesday.
According to the Smith County Tax Assessor-Collector Gary Barber, he called the City of Tyler Water Utilities Department when he noticed water coming up from the pavement on Front Street.
The city of Tyler said they shut off the water to the Cotton Belt Building to fix the water main break.
Barber said the tax office is closed for the rest of the day and the Cotton Belt Building is expected to reopen Wednesday morning.
Locals can go to other tax offices in Lindale, Noonday and Troup.
