HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas — An East Texas man died in a motorcycle-vehicle crash Sunday night in Henderson County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Louie Bell Russell, 56, died in the crash on FM 315, just 6.5 miles south of Chandler.
Russell was traveling northbound on a Yamaha Virago motorcycle at unsafe speed when he failed to drive in a single lane around a curve and struck a Kia Optima that was traveling in the southbound lane, according to the press release.
Christian Edgerton, 45, was driving his Kia Optima when Russell struck his car. Edgerton was not injured in the crash, DPS said.
The crash is still under investigation.
