CBS19 WEATHER: Some seeing their first 90-degree day of the year.

Check out the latest forecast from the CBS19 Weather Experts.

TYLER, Texas — Good evening East Texas,

If you feel summer creeping in there is a good reason for that. Today's temperatures and humidity sent heat indices into the mid-90s. The humidity will stick around overnight and that will mean a night that feels more like late June than early May.

We must watch a cold front Wednesday evening. It could spark a few severe thunderstorms near and north of Interstate 20. A few of these thunderstorms may make it as far south as Nacogdoches or Center before weakening. The cold front will settle over Deep East Texas Thursday so at this time, it appears the main focus for thunderstorms Thursday will be over Deep East Texas. All in all, no flooding rains are expected but there is a chance for some isolated wind damage reports or large hail, mainly Wednesday night. Mother's Day weekend still looks great, however, there may be a few rain showers by the end of the day Sunday.

Here's your forecast:

TONIGHT:

Summertime in East Texas is known for its warm and humid nights. The kind of night perfect for fireflies and temperatures that never fall below the mid-70s. If you like those kind of nights, then you're in luck because we've got one on the way tonight. A summer-like breeze at 10 mph may provide some gentle relief but really it will be all about that summer feel with overnight lows in the 73 to 75-degree range. The sky will also cloud over as more humidity surges back into East Texas from the gulf coast.

TOMORROW:

Thursday starts off under a gray sky with warm and humid conditions. If you are runner or like to take a morning walk, make sure to take along some water. You won't have to work very hard to work some extra sweat. A little bit of a breeze develops as we head toward noon but this won't do much to cool us off as peeks of sunshine in between the clouds will help to lift our temperature to near 90-degrees. Wednesday night, a cold front will sag into East Texas. This front will be the spark for scattered showers and thunderstorms to form. Not everyone will see rain or hear thunder. If you live near or north of Interstate 20, you have a better chance to get more rain than folks living in Deep East Texas who will have to wait until Thursday evening for their turn to hear a clap of thunder and see rain fall.
