The City of Winnsboro will enter a stage two water restriction due to drought conditions.
The city's police department shared the following main water restrictions:
- Irrigation of landscaped areas with hose end sprinklers or automatic sprinklers shall be prohibited except during the evening hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Watering with a hand-held hose, bucket, or watering can of five gallons or less. Drip irrigation is permitted.
- Washing vehicles at car wash is permitted
- No filling swimming pools or jacuzzi
- Decorative fountains are prohibited
- No hosing down driveway or sidewalks
Water restriction notices will be sent out this week in Winnsboro.
