MARSHALL, Texas — Marshall police say a suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in June 2023.
According to the Marshall Police Department, Jarvis Ohasuerus Gill, 27, was arrested in Fort Worth on March 26, before being booked into the Harrison County Jail for murder. His bond was set at $535,000.
The MPD says on June 7, 2023, around 1:30 a.m., officers were called about a person lying in the roadway in the 1800 block of Alexander St.
When authorities arrived on scene, they found the teen dead from gunshot wound.
"Investigation by Marshall Police Department detectives, Crime Scene investigators and Joint Harrison County Violent Crimes and Narcotics Task Force investigators resulted in five arrests in August 2023," the MPD said. "Two juveniles were arrested and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity for robbery. Three additional arrests were made for subjects who stopped to observe and photograph the subject lying in the street, but failed to report his presence to police. They were charged with failure to report human remains."
