CBS19 WEATHER: Warm & dry weekend ahead

Check out the latest forecast from the CBS19 Weather Experts.

TYLER, Texas — Welcome to the weekend!

A pattern change signals some drier weather for at least next three if not four days across East Texas. The weekend gets that drier trend started with plenty of sunshine and highs in the low-90s. We'll keep the dry weather theme going to start next week but a sagging and stalling cold front will lead to several rain chances Wednesday and Thursday. When fronts become stationary they can produce heavy rainfall. We'll need to keep an eye on next week's front.

Here's your forecast:

SATURDAY:

Morning fog will give way to sunshine as a light southwest wind brings in some slightly more humid and warmer air. Overall, Saturday will be a great day to be pool side or maybe on a boat or kayaking on a lake. The afternoon high temperature will be near 90-degrees across East Texas.

SUNDAY:

Sunday appears to be the warmest day of the year, so far. We'll get off to a warmer start with a wake up temperature around 70-degrees. Temperatures will already in the 80s by noon and by the time the late afternoon rolls around, the thermometer might read 92-degrees. The wind will be a little more noticeable but still light, out of the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
