CBS19 WEATHER: Warm and humid day ahead

Check out the latest forecast from the CBS19 Weather Experts.

TYLER, Texas — Good morning East Texas,

It is the calm after the storm and it will last at least one more day. Enjoy today, because unsettled weather returns tomorrow.   Rain chances will ramp up over the next several days and bring widespread showers and thunderstorms on Thursday.  This is bringing a chance flooding through the end of the week, so make sure to stay weather aware.

Big changes are on the way.  In the extended outlook, we may facing at our first 90-degree of the year.  We have not seen the 90s in the Piney Woods day since October 20th. That's 193 days ago.

Here's your forecast:

TODAY:

We are waking up to dense fog across the Piney Woods.  Visibility will drop to less than quarter of a mile for some areas of deep East Texas.  It will take until mid-morning for the fog to dissipate, so be sure to drive carefully on your morning commute. The afternoon will bring sunshine and warmth.  The high temperature will reach the mid to upper 80s with a south to southeast wind at 5 to 10mph.

TOMORROW:

We are tracking above average temperatures again tomorrow!  We will warm to the mid to upper 80s once again.  But there is a big difference between today and tomorrow. A few showers will try to make a run across East Texas during the afternoon.  But most of us will stay dry, and rain totals will barely reach 0.1 inches.
