Second wildfire grows to 57-acres, fully contained in Anderson County

According to officials, the wildfire is located on County 1990 and Highway 295 near Palestine.

ANDERSON COUNTY, Texas — Multiple fire departments are working on a second wildfire in Anderson County Wednesday afternoon.

The Texas A&M Forest Service reported the wildfire has burned an estimated 57 acres and is 100% contained. 

According to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, the wildfire is located on County 1990 and Highway 295 near Palestine. 

At this moment, there are several fire crews on the scene.
