Hallsville ISD student tests positive for COVID19, workouts canceled until July 10

The district urges student-athletes to get tested for COVID-19 due to possible exposure.

HALLSVILLE, Texas — Hallsville ISD suspended summer workouts for two weeks after a student-athlete tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the Hallsville Bobcat Athletics Facebook page, the suspension is for both junior high and high school student. 

The district urges all student-athletes to get tested for COVID-19.

There are a number of districts that canceled or postponed workouts due to COVID-19 concerns, including:

  • Hughes Spring ISD
  • Tenaha ISD
  • Spring Hill ISD
  • Van ISD
  • Carlisle ISD
  • Hawkins ISD
  • Eustace ISD
  • Trinity ISD
